Ford has unveiled a 48-inch curved screen with advanced 4K resolution that will appear in future company vehicles.

The display is distributed in such a way that it occupies the entire space in front of the driver and front passenger. But this is not a single screen, but two 24-inch displays that are connected together.

Also, it’s not a touch screen. It is controlled via a central touch display, which is located just below the panoramic screen.

All screens are powered by Ford’s new Android-based infotainment system. There is also support for CarPlay and Android Auto.

The OS is divided into three sections on the screen: on the left is the dashboard for the driver, in the center is navigation and applications, on the right is an area with entertainment for the passenger, which can be turned off if desired.

This system can also duplicate content from CarPlay. For example, users can open Apple Maps on two screens at once.

The first vehicle to feature the new taillight and lighting system will be the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. [The Verge]
