Apple paid 1.1 billion rubles in fines to the Russian budget

Apple paid a fine of 1.1 billion rubles imposed on it for violating the antitrust legislation of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the FAS.

“On January 19, 2024, Apple paid the fine. The funds went to the budget of the Russian Federation,” they said in the department.

The FAS found Apple guilty of violating antitrust laws in July 2022. The company forced Russian app developers to use its payment system, the FAS explained.

In February 2023, Apple paid a fine of 906 million rubles. He was also designated for violating antitrust laws.
