Meal information is derived from user signatures and object recognition, providing a more complete and accurate picture of the food served at each establishment. While not all food photos currently feature this menu map, Google Maps notes that it’s gradually rolling out and more images will be tagged in the near future.
To further improve usability, Google Maps has also introduced the ability to suggest edits if there is any discrepancy in the name or price of the dish. Additionally, users can click “View Menu” to go directly to the restaurant’s menu tab, but not to the specific menu item for that item.
