In the first three weeks of the new year, men were more likely than women to be interested in beauty services. The most significant increase in the male audience occurred in SPA salons: the share of payments increased over the year from 48% to 53%. This is stated in a study conducted by MTS Bank and YouDo.com, the results of which were reviewed by RB.RU.
Overall, since the beginning of January, citizens’ demand for “beauty and health” has increased by 61% compared to the same period last year. Most of the time, people look for cosmetologists, sugar specialists, and nail services. The study also notes that Russians have begun to actively look for tattoo and piercing specialists.
Since the beginning of the year, services in the field of beauty and health have become more expensive: the average bill for the year has increased the most in gyms (by 17%, up to 2.4 thousand rubles), in spa salons ( 16%), to 2.9 thousand rubles. At the same time, the average bill for a massage fell by 26%, to 2.2 thousand rubles.
