The announcement comes amid Tesla’s latest 2023 financial report, which showed the company’s total annual revenue was $967.73 billion, up 19% from the previous year.

Musk emphasized that Chinese automakers could achieve significant success outside their home country and acknowledged that without trade barriers they could easily surpass most other auto companies.

He also said he doesn’t see any opportunities for collaboration with Chinese manufacturers other than using Tesla’s network of charging stations or licensing its autonomous driving technology.

The report also states that Tesla produced 1,845,985 electric vehicles and delivered 1,808,581 vehicles in 2023.
