This tool uses artificial intelligence to convert SDR videos to HDR. To use RTX Video HDR, you need an HDR10-compatible monitor with HDR enabled in Windows.

The new feature is part of the latest Game Ready 551.23 driver for the RTX 4070 Ti Super. This feature works on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.

During testing on the HDR600 monitor, it was noticed that it added fine color details to 4K YouTube videos that were not loaded in HDR.

The effect may be more noticeable on a better HDR monitor, but it’s hard to notice unless you switch it several times in a row.

Like many of NVIDIA’s AI-supported features, RTX Video HDR requires an RTX-enabled card because it uses Tensor Cores.
