The Wall Street Journal reports that the management of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) is optimistic about the imminent launch of the Vision Pro helmet.

The company hopes Vision Pro will “reinvigorate the $50 billion metaverse that has yet to be widely adopted by consumers.” They are also confident that the release of a helmet from Apple will contribute to the existing business meta and attract more consumers.

Meta’s push for Quest and its software ecosystem are becoming a major alternative to Apple in this area, filling the role of Google’s Android in smartphones.

The battle Meta executives and insiders envision pits software makers against each other, who will play a critical role in app development to attract more users.

It is noted that Vision Pro influences Meta decisions even before release. Now the company is more focused on developments in the field of mixed reality. [9to5]
