He called it “a completely unacceptable violation of the sovereign airspace of NATO ally Romania and real risks to the security of Romanian citizens in the region.”

Iohannis had a phone call with Stoltenberg, informing him of the discovery. In response, the NATO Secretary General expressed his full support for Romania, as reflected in the recent decision by the United States to send F-16 fighter jets to protect Romanian airspace.

It was previously known that Russian military engineers worked on NATO equipment and mines and learned how to neutralize them. This was announced by the deputy head of the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School, Hero of Russia, Colonel Rustam Saifullin.
