In 2022, GeekBrains was hit by several class action lawsuits alleging that the company refused to provide refunds for courses that customers who purchased them abandoned at the beginning of the course.
The terms of GeekBrains’ offer assumed that the company would return 100% of the amount to customers within three days of the purchase date, 30% within two weeks, and 15% within one month.
The plaintiffs say they have won 155 cases against GeekBrains. Most of the claims were resolved through a settlement agreement.
