The Ministry reminded that, in accordance with the law, banks must transfer the biometric data they have previously collected to EBS. However, after this transfer, the information is not stored in the State Services and citizens can delete their data in their personal accounts.
The process of transferring data to EBS involves notifying the biometric owner 30 days in advance by the bank. After importing the data, the bank is responsible for deleting the data. Deleting your data from EBS can be done in your personal account on the State Services portal or by revoking the permission of the EBS operator.
The Ministry emphasized that the procedure for collecting biometric data and transferring it to EBS is optional. Citizens must give approval via mobile application or bank branch to have their biometric information recorded in EBS. This practice is included in the law.
