TechCrunch published photos of one of the “hacked” iPhones that Apple sends to security researchers as part of the Security Research Device program.
Unlike the standard iPhone, the model has the unlocked ability to download third-party applications to study these bugs, stability and save work elements. Externally, such a device can be done by locking the screen, which says that it is part of the program.
The iPhone comes with additional stickers and instructions indicating that this device is intended for developers and attention.
The exact number of iPhones being sent out is unknown. The company does not disclose this information. [TechCrunch]
