A Belarusian married couple was kidnapped by unidentified assailants at the entrance of a local restaurant and put into a minibus. The attackers demanded crypto money worth 901 thousand dollars from these people and released the kidnapped people when they received the money.
A Belarusian citizen then contacted the Phuket police and the suspects were detained: two at the hotel, two at the airport while trying to leave Thailand, and the last, most likely the organizer, was later caught.
