The developer of prosthetics and neural interfaces Motorika has changed its positioning: the project now presents itself as a medical cybernetics company and is planning an IPO. This was reported to RB.RU by a Motorika representative.

The developer of prostheses and neural interfaces “Motorika” has changed its positioning

“Until autumn 2023, the company focused exclusively on hand prostheses. <…>. A new strategy was adopted in the fall of 2023. The focus has been on leg prostheses, wheelchairs and other mobility solutions, as well as neurotechnologies for the treatment of nervous system nosologies and neurodegenerative diseases,” said the director General of Motorika, Andrei Davidyuk.

According to him, the company now acts as “an intermediary between man, technology and medicine, creating their organic synthesis.”

“We became the first Russian prosthetics company on the bond market and are planning an initial public offering of shares, gradually transforming into a high-profile medical technology holding company. Therefore, the transition to cyber is the next step in our evolution,” Davidyuk concluded.

Along with the new positioning, the company also updated its logo. At the same time, the representative of “Motorika” clarified that “the prefix has always been optional, we will be called “Motorika””.

In August 2023 Motorika announced plans to place bonds on the Moscow Stock Exchange. Motorika needs additional funds in the amount of 300 million rubles in the context of the development of a new direction – leg prostheses, the launch of which the company announced in July.
