In 2011, the project of a flexible tablet for schoolchildren was shown to Anatoly Chubais Putin. Plastic Logic was the one doing it. In the first three years, Rusnano invested 7 billion rubles in the company and received almost 44% of its shares.

Then it is planned to build a plant in Zelenograd for the production of flexible non-silicon displays with a capacity of 100 thousand units per year. However, the announced Plastic Logic 100 was never released.

In 2014, it was noticed that the technologies necessary for the implementation of the project were not purchased, and the plant in Zelenograd was never built. However, in 2019, Chubais said that the tablet is still disabled, and his name is in Chinese schools.

At the end of 2022, the net loss of Plastic Logic amounted to 702.4 million rubles.
