Employees at two Wildberries warehouses recently complained to the prosecutor’s office about their working conditions: the company was allegedly fined “for implausible reasons” and forced to strip to their underwear for an inspection “regardless of the form of the contract.” The market told RB.RU about the attractiveness of employees.
According to employees, money is regularly withheld for “implausible reasons.” The fine amount appears immediately on a special request and is deducted from your earnings for the shift. If the balance is empty, the debt accumulates and needs to be paid off. Sometimes, according to the authors, the deductions amount to “several tens or hundreds of thousands of rubles,” so the employee has to “work for free for months.”
The press service of the RB.RU market reported that “the procedure for calculating remuneration under service agreements is provided for in the terms of the contract”, which the employee signs when applying for a job and therefore agrees according to the provisions.
Another complaint concerned control before the start and end of the shift: according to employees, they are forced to strip to their underwear to be inspected “regardless of the form of the contract.”
Wildberries responded to this by saying that security guards conduct a “non-contact inspection” on a “voluntary basis if there is suspicion of a crime.” For this, according to the press service, law enforcement agencies are involved.
The company explains this by saying that it is obliged to ensure safety in the workplace.
