Apple sent a memo to authorized service providers saying it is investigating an issue with false taps on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
The company noted that some customers refer to these touches as “ghost touches.” That is, they work.
According to Cupertino, this issue may cause the screen on some Apple Watch models to “jerk erratically” or engage in other unexpected behavior without any user interaction. The issue could also cause the Apple Watch to unintentionally activate a phone call and prevent the user from entering a password.
Apple advises users to stay tuned for software updates. The bug is probably fixed with the new watchOS brand. The company asked ASC not to temporarily repair or change such watches.
As a temporary solution, experts advise restarting your Apple Watch while holding down the Digital Crown and the side button.
