The lawsuit states that Amazon’s Buy Box recommendation algorithm hides offers from customers that include the lowest price and fastest delivery. And this happens in 98% of cases.

The plaintiffs believe the algorithm generates revenue for both Amazon and sellers participating in the Fulfillment By Amazon program. These sellers pay Amazon for storage, packaging, shipping and returns services.

The amount sought by the plaintiffs in damages was not disclosed.
