An important event should occur towards the end of 2024. We are talking about 27-inch panels that promise a significant improvement in image quality thanks to a double contrast ratio of up to 2000:1 compared to traditional IPS displays.
Additionally, LG is working on developing version 2.0 of this technology, which aims to further improve the contrast of the panels and is expected to be released in late 2025.
IPS Black panels with 60 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rates, currently used in various models of Dell monitors, are already in production.
These include 31.5-inch panels with a resolution of 6144 x 3456 pixels, 37.5-inch and 49-inch curved panels with a resolution of 3840 x 1600 and 5120 x 1440 pixels, respectively.
