US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Brendan Carr called up The agency is investigating Apple after it blocked the Beeper Mini app for sending iMessages on Android.
Carr that Apple’s actions violated FCC rules, which state that the company believes it “should not comply with network restrictions, features or capabilities that create occupancy or usability conditions.”
The FCC should launch an investigation to find out whether Apple’s decision to degrade the Beeper Mini’s functionality, which again provides accessibility and ease of use, was a move that violates FCC rules.

Apple has never allowed iMessage to be used on Android. Beeper Mini’s developers were able to work around this limitation, but Apple quickly made changes to iMessage that blocked the app from working on Android.
