During the new study published in the European Nutrition Magazine, experts observed more than 1,400 Australian women at the age of 75 years for 14.5 years.
It was found that those who consume the most vitamin K1 (equivalent to a glass of raw or half a glass of boiled leaf greens) were found to be 43% lower than the risk of death from atherosclerotic vascular diseases (asz) from at least vitamin fields.
Scientists also noticed that the chances of heart vegetable lovers to encounter heart attack and stroke were less, and the probability of 5.6% atherosclerosis without symptoms decreased by 5.6%.
Vitamin K1 has such an effect because it activates the Matrix protein GLA, which inhibits the calcification of blood vessels, a common feature of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases.
