The doctor emphasized that in order to combat sugar addiction, it is necessary to first realize the psycho-emotional and physiological aspects underlying the strong desire for sweets. And if this happens, you will have to look for the optimal balance in nutrition and sweet consumption. The problem is that the desire to constantly eat sweets at the slightest feeling of hunger or to solve psychological difficulties in this way becomes similar to drug addiction. At the same time, giving up sugar should be gradual.
According to the nutritionist, an adequate nutrition program is necessary. However, most of the time the body perceives thirst as hunger. And then you need to drink water, not eat this feeling with something sweet.
“It is important to eat right, that is, three times a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. It should be tight but not too tight and should be balanced. Sugar cravings will decrease due to the feeling of fullness. And of course, drink at least two liters of water a day and do not drink immediately after meals,” the doctor advised.
