According to a report by 404 Media, these companies use Paradox.ai’s services to provide unusual personality assessments that include images of blue-skinned aliens.
A Reddit user shared his experience of being asked to choose whether he associated himself with a painting of two aliens in a restaurant kitchen. The photo said “Traditional” and candidates were asked to click “Me” or “Not Me”; which caused many to raise their eyebrows.
“Damn, I just want a job as a dishwasher,” one user complained.
A journalist trying to get a job as a bartender at Olive Garden discovered that the “traditional” image was just one of more than 80 slides, and not the strangest.
In one of the tests, the alien was sitting next to a bicycle and had an abrasion on his knee, apparently from an accident. The headline read “Things like that happen to me too” and candidates were again asked to choose “It’s me” or “It’s not me”.
