According to the leak, the new PS5 Pro could cost buyers around €500 more than the base PS5 when it launches in 2020. However, according to the blogger, we are talking about a version without a disk drive.
Based on the expected specifications of the PS5 Pro, the manufacturing cost should not significantly exceed the base PS5 manufacturing cost.
The Pro model is expected to get a powerful eight-core AMD Zen 2 processor, RDNA 3 graphics with 60 compute units, and 16 GB GDDR6 memory with 256-bit bus.
Comparing the prices, the blogger noted that the driverless PS5 Slim model is currently sold for $ 450. If the PS5 Pro is available for around $500, the base model will likely drop to $400.
PlayStation 5 Pro is expected to hit store shelves by the end of 2024.
