Xiaomi founder Lei Jun officially announced the launch of a “smart factory” near Beijing.
For Xiaomi, this is an important milestone, which means a qualitative leap due to the corporation’s first large-scale internal production, writes Gizmochina.
What makes a factory “smart” is high automation and a fully digitalized production process, which allows computer systems to make decisions independently in most cases, based on real-time data analysis.
The news comes just a few days before the long-awaited launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
