A group of former SpaceX engineers created an electric boat startup called Arc.
In 2023, they began selling the Arc One electric boat, and now have the Arc Sport powerboat, which can be used as a towboat for wakesurfing.
Arc Sport is equipped with an electric motor that produces 570 hp. and 1579.5 Nm of torque. But, despite such technical characteristics, the speed of the boat is limited to 64 km/h.
The 226 kWh battery should be maintained for 24 hours of operation if the boat is operated at low speeds and low rpms. But on average, its autonomy is designed for 4-6 hours of operation, taking into account sharp accelerations and a large number of towings.
The vessel is 7 meters long and has a fiberglass hull. It can carry up to 15 people. Next to the steering wheel there is a large touch screen that displays all technical information and is also responsible for the operation of multimedia.
