Google announced on the Android Developers website that it has temporarily paused Android 15 DP1 downloads.

According to representatives of the search giant, the reason for this lies in a known issue with OTA images being uploaded by third parties.

Apparently, with such Android 15 DP1 downloads, there are times when the “Device damaged” message appears after the download is completed.

Even though Google has temporarily stopped uploading OTA images of the new version of Android, there is still a workaround available. Google recommends flashing the factory image instead of third-party download to test devices.

There’s no word yet on how long it will take for Google to fix the issue.
