The former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg began production of cars under the Solaris brand. The line is represented by four models; Outwardly, these are the same cars that were assembled at the Hyundai plant.
Production of cars under the Solaris brand began at the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg. The company AGR Automotive Group (formerly Volkswagen Group Rus) spoke about this.
“The Solaris brand model range includes the Solaris HS, Solaris HC, Solaris KRS and Solaris KRX models and will be sold through AGR LLC’s dealer network,” the statement said.

According to Autonews, all vehicles produced by AGR represent the Hyundai automaker’s model range. For example, Solaris HS is the new name of the Hyundai Solaris sedan, Solaris HC is the Hyundai Creta crossover. Externally, the cars also resemble each other.

In January 2024, the Hyundai plant emerged from almost two years of shutdown, but did not begin assembling cars. That same month, the company was purchased by the Art Finance company.
