Externally, the new product is similar to the previous one, but the design has become more sophisticated. Three new colors have appeared: black and white with leather texture (3g lighter than the 13 Ultra) and blue with Dragon Crystal coating (5.5g heavier).
But the real changes are hidden inside, especially the cameras. Xiaomi has kept the formula with four 50-megapixel sensors (0.5x + 1x + 3.2x + 5x) but improved them.
The main camera is the latest Sony LYT-900, which still has a 1-inch sensor but now has a better design and faster readout.
The lens is technically still a 23mm dual-aperture module. Xiaomi calls its mechanism “Continuously Variable Aperture”, hinting at its ability to operate anywhere between f/1.63 and f/4.0.
Even more impressive is the minimum focal length of both telephoto lenses: the 75mm can shoot from 10cm and the 120mm from 30cm.
The display remains the same (at least on paper) – a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The panel is slightly brighter at 3,000 nits (up from 2,600 nits).
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB storage.
The battery is up about 6% to 5,300mAh and charges up to 90W via cable or 80W using a wireless clip.
