Russian distributed luggage storage service Qeepl has attracted investments from serial entrepreneur, Rentmania founder and business angel Lyudmila Bulavkina. The investment amount amounted to several million rubles, Bulavkina informed RB.RU.
The Qeepl service was founded in 2019 by Roman Saulin and Roman Nikolaev. The startup operates according to the Airbnb model. The service brings together owners of luggage storage and those who wish to store personal belongings.
Today the project is presented in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and 30 other Russian cities. In 2022, Qeepl began exploring new markets, including Spanish, Mexican and Argentine. In 2021, Roman Saulin informed RB.RU about plans to launch a project in the United States.
The company will use the funds received for further business development. The project will expand its geographical presence and offer new services.
“Thanks to these funds and her (Lyudmila Bulavkina’s) valuable experience, we will be able to accelerate growth, expand coverage and provide convenient service to even more people,” Saulin said. He added that the investment amount is up to 10 million rubles.
According to co-founder Roman Nikolaev, investor support will make Qeepl the most affordable storage service.
