Mobilegamer.biz sources reported that game developers are not confident in the reliability of Apple Arcade.

They “smell imminent death” by the service. Game creators support that Apple is more willing to invest in films and music, and is almost not worried about games.

Payments from Apple Arcade developers have been falling for several years. This is especially noticeable starting in October 2020. Both the upfront payments and the “bonus pool” have been reduced for this, and Apple is “evasive about how these amounts are calculated.”

Some developers believe that the Apple Arcade team simply stops receiving emails after a while. They believe that the company itself is not confident in the correct direction of the game.

Additionally, developers reported difficulty getting marketing support or features on the App Store, even as their games struggled to gain support on Apple Arcade. [Macrumors]
