Former head of Tinkoff Private, Ilya Oprenko, together with his partners, launched a wealth management platform in the United Arab Emirates – Skyfort. It is intended for rich Russians and residents of one of the regions of the global South with a check of between 250,000 and 10 million dollars, RBC has learned.

Former Tinkoff top manager launched fintech service for investors in the United Arab Emirates

Skyfort is a digital platform for premium and high net worth clients to manage their assets and participate in capital markets transactions through a one-stop shop. The company plans to carry out transactions through the infrastructure of Europe, the United States, as well as the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

The amount of investment in the project is not revealed, but the co-founders’ own funds, as well as other private investors, were invested in its launch.

The platform has nothing to do with Tinkoff, stated Ilya Oprenko. According to him, the funds raised should be sufficient to cover needs for at least three years, including international expansion, the creation of a platform and the acquisition of legal infrastructure.

Skyfort employs approximately 26 people on staff. The team is scattered throughout Russia and the world.
