It was previously assumed that the new generation console would be released in 2024, but its release was postponed. Nikkei reported that an early launch in 2025 would allow Nintendo to:
- Generate sufficient console resources at launch.
- Prepare an impressive list of games, including “popular games”.
March 2025 seems like a logical choice from a financial perspective, as the console will also be released in the current financial year. The original Switch also launched successfully in March, so Nintendo probably isn’t worried about missing the 2024 holiday season.
There is no official confirmation of this information yet, so you should proceed with caution.
- Big screen.
- It is backwards compatible with all Switch games.
- Supports ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
- Enough performance for smooth gaming at 1080p (on par with Xbox Series S).
