AvtoVAZ received a patent for the design of the new Lada pickup truck. It will probably be used for the Lada Iskra model, a family of economical cars on the platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance.
AvtoVAZ patented the design of the new Lada car model. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The photo from the application to Rospatent shows that the design is applicable to a pickup truck. Lada Iskra cars are likely to be produced in this design, the expert noted.
AvtoVAZ plans to produce the Lada Iskra in three bodies: sedan, station wagon and crossover station wagon. This is a new budget line of cars created on the platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance.
AvtoVAZ plans to start mass production of the Lada Iskra in 2025. The first batch of test cars has already been assembled.
Earlier it became known that AvtoVAZ plans to register a new trademark similar to the Hyundai logo.
