Samokat, Vkusville and Sbermarket became leaders in sales growth in the e-groceries market

At the end of 2023, the e-Grocery market leaders in Russia were Samokat, Vkusville and Sbermarket. This is stated in the analysis of the INFOLine sector, writes RIA Novosti.

The ranking of market participants was topped by Samokat, whose sales doubled (+101%) to 165.3 billion rubles. In second place in terms of growth dynamics is Sbermarket with 165.6 billion rubles (+ 60% year-on-year), in third place is Vkusville with 140 billion rubles (year-on-year growth of 53.5%).

“The Russian e-groceries market continued to grow dynamically in 2023 (+47%), despite large-scale challenges. In the face of increasing competition, those retailers that can ensure the best customer experience continue to succeed, regardless of weather conditions or service load during the holidays,” said Mikhail Burmistrov, Managing Partner of INFOLine-Analytics.

In Q4 2023, the top three in terms of turnover among multi-category marketplaces included Ozon, Wildberries and Megamarket. The latter increased sales of food products almost six times year on year to 14.4 billion rubles.
