Wildberries explained to sellers how the amount of compensation for products lost as a result of the January fire in Shushary will be formed. Individual refunds will be calculated based on the average price of the discounted item minus standard costs (such as shipping and storage). The calculations also take into account the refund percentage and product turnover.

Wildberries reported payment of 3 billion rubles as compensation for the fire in Shushary

In addition to revealing the calculation methodology, the company also provided reports on compensation for losses, TASS reports. By the beginning of February, according to the corporation, about 3 billion rubles had already been repaid (payments began on January 15, large tranches were made on February 6 and 14).

The company explained that the calculation is made based on the rates that were in effect on January 13. The discount is taken into account because “sellers make discounts taking into account seasonal fluctuations in supply and demand or participate in sales.”

Total amounts and payment schedules are sent to sellers by email and are periodically adjusted based on amounts already paid.

“Documents are uploaded to your personal account on the seller’s portal in stages,” says the Wildberries press service about the reporting process (quote from TASS). — The report describes the calculation method and amount of compensation, and presents a payment schedule. If the seller agrees with it, you can confirm it and payments will begin as scheduled.”

If the seller does not agree with the amount of compensation and the payment schedule, he has the right to report the discrepancies and demand an individual review of the rates and schemes.
