This caused a strong backlash among users who began mass cloning emulator sources on GitHub. Many Yuzu fans were shocked by the emulator team’s decision.
They offered financial and legal assistance in the fight against Nintendo, but Yuzu developers chose to sign a settlement agreement, pay $2.4 million in damages and close the project.
Despite this, users will not give up. Yuzu clones such as Yuzu Vanced, zuyu, yuzu will live and others have already appeared on GitHub.
Some users decided to split copies of another Nintendo Switch emulator (Ryujinx). Many fans said that even if Nintendo managed to destroy all copies of the emulators, they would not buy the console.
They do not want to play low resolution and FPS games, especially after experiencing the abilities of Yuzu and Ryujinx.
