Microsoft has announced the end of support for Android apps in Windows 11.

The new apps will no longer be available for download starting March 5, 2025, the company said in a statement. Apps that are already installed at that time will continue to work, but cannot be updated.

Microsoft announced the WSA subsystem that supports Android apps in October 2021. At the same time, the Windows 11 operating system was introduced.

Previously it became known about Microsoft’s plans to introduce artificial intelligence functions in the Notepad text editor. The assistant will be able to rewrite, shorten or expand the text.
