The founder of Telegram announced the appearance of new functions for companies in Messenger. Pavel Durov reported about this on his Telegram blog.
“This month we will add more Telegram features for business. One of these features will revolutionize the way people interact with chatbots,” Durov wrote.
Telegram will have the option to add chat bots such as secretaries who will be able to respond to all or selected chats. Artificial intelligence will allow these chatbots to take customer service automation to a new level, Durov noted.
Durov also talked about new free APIs for developers that will be available this month.
Previously, Telegram launched the first feature pack for businesses. Among them is converting a profile into a business account. Users will be able to add a location, hours of operation, and use automated customer greeting messages.
