Grush’s allegations sparked congressional hearings and public speculation. But the AARO report pours cold water on these conspiracy theories. The investigation found “no evidence of extraterrestrial life” in past UFO sightings. The report states that much of what was seen may have been secret military technology the government was testing. It provides a more realistic account by highlighting the historical programs involved in the development of experimental aircraft.
Although supporters found Grush’s claims about alien extraction programs, conspiracies, and “interdimensional beings”, the report and much of the public were unconvinced. By leaving open the question of the true nature of UFOs, the Pentagon has effectively debunked the idea of a government cover-up.
