The station will be built like a dam equipped with turbines that will generate energy for one million homes. The station will be located on the River Mersey, which the contractor called Britain’s “greatest natural asset” in its press release.
The power station will be located near Liverpool and will connect the city to the Wirral Peninsula. The contractor also plans to install a pedestrian and cycle path via Mersey Tidal Power.
