The American social network copied the functions of short videos from TikTok, but its main purpose is to publish and share photos. And now the Chinese platform plans to follow the path of Instagram and launch TikTok Photos, a photo-sharing service. The concept and mechanics of TikTok Photos will most likely be the same as Instagram’s. It is also stated that it will be possible to publish various content from the main application of the social network in the new TikTok service.
The code includes comments explaining that TikTok Photos will allow you to “sync your feeds with your TikTok photos.” And the phrase “we hope to help you reach a new audience in the new application” in the same code implies that this will not only expand the TikTok social network, but also be a separate application competing with Instagram. Users will also have the option to automatically sync their public posts with TikTok Photos.
