Roskomnadzor stopped updating the upload of the register of prohibited sites ten days ago, Kommersant writes.
From the data upload, operators and search engines receive information about sites that need to be blocked. Previously, Roskomnadzor blocked an average of 800 addresses every day.
According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, search engines allow you to track links to sites and their “mirrors” as soon as Roskomnadzor enters them into the register. Synchronization with the registry occurs automatically. The reason has not changed recently.

Sources of the publication believe that blocking of sites is now carried out using TSPU equipment, which is installed on operator networks.
The important differences between register blocking are their publicity: you can find out who, when and sometimes for what reasons made the decision to block, and it is possible to challenge it in court. With TSPU, even the telecom operators themselves do not know the details.

But if the registry is not updated, blocked sites may appear in search engines.
There is also a version that the registry stopped updating in anticipation of a possible cyber attack during the presidential elections in Russia. [Коммерсантъ]
