The system analyzes the ratio of completed and canceled trips in the last 30 days and assigns the passenger one of three statuses:
-
“Everything is fine”: the user rarely cancels orders, the search for a car is fast.
-
“Acceptable”: Since the number of cancellations is within acceptable limits, the search for a vehicle may take a little longer.
-
“Irregularity”: the user often cancels orders, searching for a car can take much longer, and the function of ordering multiple taxis will not be available.
Yandex emphasizes that the system will not count forced cancellations, for example, if the vehicle delivery time significantly exceeds the estimated time.
The company explains that frequent cancellations negatively affect the availability and prices of taxis. Once the driver accepts an order, it becomes unavailable to other users. The fewer the number of available drivers, the higher the demand coefficient and, accordingly, the price of the trip. The service will inform users about the innovation in the application, where the current passenger score will also be displayed.
