Starting April 1, 2024, Bulgaria will begin issuing Schengen visas to Russians. Applications are processed at the consular service of the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow and at the Consulate General in Saint Petersburg.

The waiting time in line to present documents will be the same as in other Schengen countries, writes TASS
Russians will be able to use short-term national visas type C, issued until March 31, 2024, only when entering Bulgaria and traveling to Romania and Cyprus.
Long-term type D visas (three months or more) received before the same date will give the right to short-term trips to other countries in the Schengen area.
