Sergey Li, CEO of M.Video-Eldorado group, said that the Electrolux Group, which owns the Electrolux, Zanussi and AEG brands, limits the parallel import of its products to Russia. Electrolux products are currently “represented in limited quantities” in its retail network, he said.

Other brands such as Groupe SEB (Tefal, Braun, Rowenta) also started to pursue parallel imports. It was noticed that Western suppliers include in their contracts a ban on the resale of products to Russia. Some brands have even initiated audits and penalized business partners who violate this requirement.

Retailers believe that we can expect brands that prevent parallel imports to completely disappear from Russian shelves. However, the general product range in retail chains has expanded to include Turkish and Chinese brands.
