After the release of the smartphone version in October, Google Meet beauty filters finally arrive on desktop. And this is, of course, what many have been waiting for, since this feature is used by competitors such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
And, in fact, Mountain View didn’t announce it with much fanfare. but it will be there make life easier and your face more beautiful to those who decide to use it.

“Portrait retouching can be used to lightly touch up your appearance before or during a meeting, which will help you feel more comfortable and confident during video calls,” Google explains.
The feature is available as part of Google Meet’s regular retouching effects (where you blur the background and add other filters) under the Appearance section. There you can choose between two different types of beauty filter for Google Meet: thin and smooth. Neither of these will make any drastic changes to your image, but they’ll likely be enough to eradicate dark circles under your eyes on Monday morning.
There’s a catch, however: this feature, which is still being rolled out, is only available to Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, Teaching & Learning Upgrade, Google subscribers. One and Google WorkspaceIndividual. That’s why, you will need one of these plans to be able to use it.
