Sources tell Business Insider that OpenAI is already actively testing ChatGPT 5.
The generative model is currently available to select users. The release will take place in mid-2024, possibly in the summer.
According to testers, this model is better than ChatGPT 4. It also uses other yet unannounced functions, a kind of intelligent agent (approx. a program that independently performs a task specified by the computer user over long periods of time.) to perform a task autonomously.
While the company continues to train the AI, it will then conduct safety tests: leading questions, conduct toxicity tests, and so on.
There is no exact release date. The company may still change plans for the release of ChatGPT 5. [BI]
