Deputy Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) Vladimir Kekelidze believes that the end of cooperation between the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and Russia will be bad not only for Russia, but also for the entire scientific community. He argues that the Large Hadron Collider that will stop working is unique and that this will harm science.

Kekelidze emphasizes that this is a loss not only for Russia but for the entire scientific world, as Russian scientists made significant contributions to CERN studies. In their open letters, scientists called on the organization not to make politically motivated decisions and to continue cooperation with Russia. But despite this, cooperation will come to an end and Russian experts will have to complete the work before the end of this year.
