The platform introduced a metadata management service, Yandex MetaData Hub, which combines several functions at once.
Features of the Yandex metadata center
The Connection Manager feature allows you to share the connection with desired database management systems (DBMS) through a link. Now you don’t need to enter names and passwords every time. It will be possible to issue connection rights selectively.
In the future, the service will add Schema Registry features, which will simplify the structuring and management of data schemas in the cloud and the Data Catalog.
New features in Yandex DataLens
Two new rates have appeared in the platform’s BI analysis service. The community plan offers free access to all basic features, including graph cross-filtering. By clicking, you can filter the entire panel into one chart.
The Business tariff offers priority SLA (Service Level Agreement) support and the ability to securely integrate your dashboards into external systems.
Also in this tariff, UI branding is now available, thanks to which you can customize the colors of the panels and upload logos to the Yandex DataLens interface.
The platform also strengthened the security of managed databases, the company reported. In the Audit Trails service you can now track audit logs.
Additionally, Yandex Cloud has increased the overall security level of managed databases. Now users will be able to monitor audit logs in detail and view them.
Also available on the platform are automatic disk scaling for PostgreSQL and database diagnostic tools.
