Security expert Alexander Vlasov warned about the possibility of fraudsters using QR codes to deceive citizens. He noted that there is a risk of scanning fake QR codes created by criminals while shopping, which could lead to incorrect payments.

Fake QR codes can divert money directly into fraudsters’ pockets instead of purchasing goods, resulting in financial losses. To avoid such situations, it is recommended to use cash in little-known stores and use only reliable online platforms.

Vlasov also advises you to pay attention to links to sites promising big discounts and recommends checking the promotions yourself on official resources. Citizens have previously been warned to be more careful when communicating over the internet regarding the use of artificial intelligence technologies for fraud.
